The latest installment of the massive annual compilation from Tender Loving Empire, Friends and Friends of Friends, is out now.    The 7th volume of this double disc behemoth has over three hours of music from The Family Crest, Wampire, Wild Ones, And And And, White Reaper, Radiation City, Luz Elena Mendoza, Sean Flinn and The Royal We, and loads more. Lots for everyone to love. Enjoy!

Friends and Friends of Friends Vol. 7 was mastered at Telegraph.

Telegraph recently completed our first ever Direct to Disc session in the studio.  In a Direct to Disc session the vinyl lacquers are cut directly from a live performance in the studio!  It's high-stakes live recording, and the sound simply cannot be matched.  Organic, tense, and inviting all at the same time.  It's a crazy way to cut a record but sometimes crazy works!  Radiation City did the honors of being the first to dare laying down tracks Direct To Disc, and we hope they won't be the last.

Radiation City's excellent cover of the James Bond classic You Only Live Twice is now available exclusively at Genero.us.  This is one killer cover!

Genero.us is a new digital music platform where you can pay what you like.  It's the brainchild of Tender Loving Empire's Andrew Sloan, and I'm frankly very excited about it.  Check out how it works while you're bumping the single.

Radiation City has a new video and it's a doozy! The video for Zombies has suburbia, mental anguish, sex, and the apocalypse.  Terrific and nsfw.  Portland looks pretty good at the end of the world!

Zombies is the first song off Animals in The Median. The video premiered on Papermag.

Rolling Stone just premiered the first single from the upcoming Radiation City full length Animals In The MedianForeign Bodies is fantastic introduction to Radiation City's sound; dexterous pop that is simultaneously familiar and novel.

Animals In The Median was mixed by Sonny DiPerri and mastered at Telegraph, and will be released May 21st on Tender Loving Empire.

Check out the killer new video for Radiation City’s Hide From The Night over at Team CoCo.  That worm will eat anything!

Hide From The Night comes from the critically acclaimed Cool Nightmare EPCool Nightmare was produced and mixed by Cameron Spies and Randy Bemrose and mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph.

Best New Band - 2012

MAGE: Mike Grippi & Ben Mollica
Congrats to Radiation City for being named the best new band in Portland for 2012! The ladies and gentlemen of Radiation City are among the most talented musicians and songwriters you will find anywhere. Every time you think, “Wow. They really nailed it,” they top themselves. Definitely one of those bands where the payoffs come big and often. Kudos guys and gals, we can’t wait to hear what’s next!

Telegraph mastered both Radiation City’s full length debut The Hands That Take You as well as the Cool Nightmare EP. Both releases were produced and mixed by Cameron Spies and Randy Bemrose.

Telegraph Mastering At The Record Store

I stopped by the Tender Loving Empire store-front and found a couple of gorgeous records mastered at Telegraph.

First there’s the Cool Nightmare 10” from Radiation City, produced and mixed by Cameron Spies and Randy Bemrose. It has a standard pressing (left) and a limited edition pressing (right). The limited edition comes on stunning white vinyl, with hand made cover silk screened by Marc Girouard with laser cut lettering by Vera at Crystal Visions. Check out the sweet burn marks around the letters!

Telegraph also put the finishing touches on the Adventures! with Might / Pocket Knife split 7”. The EP is the debut 7” for Vinyl Richie Records. It was recorded at KBC Studios and mixed by Shay Scott, Marc Swart, and Issac Medina. With the dance-electro of Adventures! With Might and the sweet melodies of Pocket Knife this EP has something for everyone!
